Elena Sanz Isla has joined the Fundación MAPFRE Board of Trustees, thus helping the institution’s highest decision-making body to continue progressing in terms of diversity and enriching it with people from complementary professional backgrounds.

Elena Sanz has a degree in Economic and Business Science from the University of Alcalá de Henares and a Master’s degree in Risk and Insurance Management from the Pontifical University of Salamanca.

She first started working for MAPFRE in Spain, in Madrid and Barcelona, and later moved to Argentina where she was the Controller of the company’s financial division for four years, returning to Spain in 2000 where she held various management positions in Human Resources. Elena Sanz is currently MAPFRE’s Group Chief Human Resources Officer and president of the company’s Sustainability Committee.

The appointment of Elena Sanz to the Board of Trustees of Fundación MAPFRE follows on from the recent appointments of Inmaculada Riera and Laura Ruiz de Galarreta to this body.
