The Faculty of Work Sciences has held the final of this inter-university championship in which a total of four teams from universities in Andalusia have taken part.

The team of five students from the Faculty of Mathematics at Seville University has won the bugaMAP Andalusia inter-university championship. Fundación MAPFRE’s championship final was held on Wednesday at Seville University’s Faculty of Work Sciences.

The business game MAPFRE, known as bugaMAP, is a business simulation game which teaches university and postgraduate students from numerous countries how insurance business management works through decision-making and simulating its impact on the company’s market share, performance and solvency.

During the different stages of the championship there were seven seminars in which 149 students took part. 20 students from 4 Andalusian universities competed in the final: Granada University, Malaga University; Pablo de Olavide University, and Seville University.

Taking part in the award ceremony were Elena Cano, Vice-Rector of Institutional Relations at Seville University; Alejandro Diaz Moreno, Dean of the Faculty of Work Sciences; Jesús Cambra, Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences at Pablo de Olavide University; Teresa Sánchez, Secretary of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences at Granada University; Antonio Fernández, Professor of Applied Economics at Malaga University; and Luis Ángel Schweizer, Fundación MAPFRE’s territorial representative
